  • Joys: Mission trip, Pearl’s friend (Mary) with her, Bill had successful cataract surgery, Terry spent 24 hours sifting through prairies cataloging all living things, and Kathy Butler and Wayne Ripley here.

  • Joys: Dan’s family here today: Jeneen (sister-in-law), Bob (brother) and Mary (sister). Bob is glad to be back, concerns about Dan’s weather adjustment, Episcopalians joining UCC and Presbyterian in affirming marriage equality, taking two 3-year-olds for first canoe ride.

Joys and Concerns

  • Concerns: Family of Vern Vosberg, Peggy Kvam’s mother, Marv Nordang, Phyllis Lingen family, Kathy’s Dad (Wayne Ripley), and Bill Webb.
  • Joys: Peggy Kvam saw lots of family (but in Arizona 115 degrees), Laura Butterbrodt crowned Western Fest Princess, Audrey saw perfect rainbow, good to see visitors (Kathy Ripley, Katherine Dibble and Pat Putnam). Andersons saw lots of family and three new great granddaughters, Dan and Paul thankful to all who came to house warming. Gay marriage legalized in all of U.S. Sharon and Katherine’s class reunion and celebrating 75th birthdays (Sue Krinke also). Marriage of Kyle and Whitney Mooney. Katie Kvam heading back to States today.

Joys and Concerns

  • Concerns: Avian flu epidemic, flooding in Texas, persons and families dealing with depression, unrest and violence and this is Peace and Justice Sunday, and rains and soil erosion.
  • Joys: Special joy of John Halling and Wayne Kling driving a U-Haul from Florida, one day of school left, Laura turned 18 and is graduating from YME, Pearl’s grandson-in-law helping with repair work, Karen’s ministry with us, the ministry of all to each other, and Sally’s son and his family are at Disney world.

Joys and Concerns

  • Concerns – Tammy Bergman Anderson at home after double knee replacement. Close-knit rural communities can sometimes mask secrets.
  • Joys: Anderson’s son (Brad married to Amanda yesterday and Ali was a waitress at the reception), Olivia with us, Bill and Sue are back, culmination of Terry’s MN Master Naturalist class was a 100% foraged meal, and Rich’s hand is healing well (probably back to work on June 3).

  • Joys: Sue’s nephew (Dylan) is celebrating his 9th birthday this week, thanks to Steve Zumhofe for work on the water project and other work in the past two months, Dick and Sharon’s 35th Anniversary is today, fishing is good on Lake Ida, Rev. Dan Maiden here this past week, Sally’s grandson Justin broke his arm rollerblading (and the joy is that it is his left arm!).

  • Joys: Sharon Anderson’s birthday today and Rob’s was Friday, Anderson have a new great-granddaughter (Casey Lynn), meetings with Dan Maiden this week, Joann spending a few days with Pearl, Ruby was in Colorado (3 feet of snow disappeared within a few days), her grandson hit a grand slam, and Minnesota Wild doing well.
