Joys and Concerns
- Concerns: Steve Ladner family, people coping with wildfires in California, and people of South Africa.
- Joys: Rain, Prairie Arts Chorale Concerts (Jeff sings a solo), Oliver (Joel and Diane’s grandson) is here again helping with candle lighting and offering, meaningful events this past week – “Beyond The Band-Aids Two” and the CURE Annual Meeting, President Obama will be commencement speaker at Lake Area Tech Institute (where John B. teaches).

Joys and Concerns
- Concerns: Great Nephew (Dylan) is in the hospital, prayers for Jeff Iverson and family in the death of his grandfather, LouAnn’s daughter (Sue) has started Chemo, Kenya (attack on college), Ginny Erman and family, those spending Easter alone, and those who can’t afford food.
- Joys: Full choir loft, rain in the forecast, returning graduates back to visit, beautiful morning, and beautiful Easter flowers.

- Until the plumbing is repaired – It is OK to use the upstairs toilet if you need it. The 5 gallon buckets of water are there for flushing. If you need assistance with the heavy pails, please ask for help. Thank you.

- Concerns: Family of Brian Bareger, people affected by airplane crash in Alps, those with mental health issues and how the media is connecting mental health and violence.
- Joys: Dick’s mother’s 99th birthday celebration is today, possibility of sale of Andersons’ house, nearly completed projects and someone to take control and get them done, joy for Deb to come home and see smiling faces.

Additional Information
- Maundy Thursday – Seder Meal at First Congregational Church in Monte –begins at 5:30 pm. Bring friends, family, anyone interested. This is a joint worship planned for Granite and for Monte folks. There is no service Maundy Thursday in Granite.
- Good Friday – Self-meditation materials will be available for you to utilize all day at both the Montevideo and at the Granite Falls church. Karen Schmidt-Dill will be present at First Congregational Church from 5:00-7:00 pm and at Granite Falls UCC from 7:30-9:30 pm if you care to talk. This type of service is like an open house,. Come and go as you choose. There will also be meditative type music playing during these times.
- Easter Sunday – Communion will be served along with Easter worship at both congregations.
- The Worship and Membership Committee will meet on Wednesday, April 22 at 5:30 pm at the Church.

There is a sign-up sheet at the back of the church to place the names of those special people. Please write out a check in the amount of $15.

- Concerns: Jed O’Leary (husband of Sara Pavey died from accident injuries – prayers for Norm and Sybil Pavey), and Marv and Bev Nordang as Marv learns more about cancer treatments.
- Joys: Wedding of Katy Lundell and Mark Stuhr, Ruby enjoying sitting on back deck and having coffee and listening to birds and also enjoyed Todd’s visit. John Butterbrodt enjoyed the spring bird migration in SD, Dick is feeling better and in church, and the success of YME girls BB team (good for student body and the community)!

- Circle of Stones will be attending the Concordia Concert on Thursday, March 19. People can carpool from Sue Rollins home if you wish. Be at Sue’s at 7:00 pm. After the concert, we will meet back at Sue Rollins’ home for goodies and visit. Contact Sue if you are interested in attending the concert and need a ride or will stop at her house afterwards.

- Concerns: Dick Anderson is struggling again, Marv & Bev Nordang (Marv is continuing treatment for cancer, family of Clayton Hanson, Lou Ann’s daughter, Sue, is having treatment for Hodgkin’s.
- Joys: Hazel and Darrell are home, sunshine, thanks to Steve and DuWayne for leadership on water issues, John’s geraniums have germinated, length of day is 11 hours 11 minutes (same as October), and don’t forget change to Daylight Savings Time.
