  • Granite Falls Family Bible School – Aug. 17, 18, & 19 at 5:00. Eat at 5:30 followed by Bible Study crafts, discussion and prayer.

Joys and Concerns:

  • Concerns: Bob Slettedahl, Barb Gustafson (family of Hazel Stratemoen, families of the victims of airplane crash in Algiers, the “unrest” in the world, and abused children.
  • Joys: Cool weather, creative arts endeavors in the area, Todd and Lisa are here, Karen spent time with Mom and sisters, and Happy Birthday to Karen.

  • TOPS needed to vacate the Sr. Center. They will be meeting in the church basement Tuesday evenings.

  • Pastor Wagner – 6:00 pm last Wednesday in Monte to talk about the search process (potluck supper included).

Joys and Concerns

  • Concerns: Family of George Boman, Bob Slettedahl, Barb Gustafson’s Mom (Hazel), Jeremy’s friend’s family (3 year old drowned), Butch Schulte, everyone with coughs and Lee Johnson.
  • Joys: Good church attendance and willingness to experiment with services, Karen Halling’s broken plant (she splinted it and it bloomed), and friends.

  • Happy Father’s Day!
  • You are invited to a meeting at the YMC Government Center June 25 at 4:30 to discuss the plans to move the Food Shelf in Granite Falls. The letter is on a table in the back of the church.

Joys and Concerns

  • Concerns: Terry’s cousin (Daryl), Sue’s great nephew (Dylan has lost most of his eyesight and is deaf in one ear), Syria, forest fires in many area of the U.S., parts of drought in the U.S., climate change and instability of weather patterns and lack of attention to the issue, Beulah Miller, Ruby Hieb and family.
  • Joys: How the people of this church have a closeness of church and we are “small but mighty.” Beautiful day, beautiful weather of God’s creation and Karen’s dog’s first birthday.

Concerns: Jeremy’s father in hospital, Leroy and Ruby Hieb, Dick Anderson, drought in southwest (especially California), and Butch Schulte.
Joys: Judy visited with brother (Harold, and he has a beautiful smile back), 90th birthday party for Ron and Marge Selden and Sue’s brother came from California, Sue’s nephew came to the party and getting out of hospital today or tomorrow, the joy of this church and volunteers of DAYD, Karen celebrating with us and vacation time with cousins and family, Audrey (Melanie sent letter she enjoys worshipping with us and sends her love), and Kristi’s here.

  • Concerns: Shirley Thom, Leroy and Ruby, Butch Schulte and all the people in Southern U.S. affected by floods and tornados.
  • Joys: Art Extravaganza, Dick and Sharon’s Anniversary with cleaning the kitchen, church is clean inside and out, Confirmation today, Peggy’s Uncle Tom’s transplant surgery went well, Tom and daughter, DeAnn are doing well, great to see Dick in church, UCC taking stand against the State of North Carolina, Rev. Fylling’s opening prayer at CURE Banquet, and award for Upper Sioux (water quality).
